Selena was the third daughter of Marcela Quintanilla and Abraham Quintanilla. Selena joined the band of her father when she turned eight. The group was featured in a number of TV shows that were Spanish-language, such as El Show De Johnny Canales as well as Siempre En Domingo and Sabado Gigante.
